There are so many ways that the MeRecorder can be used to monitor and assess students progress! The MeCorder allows teachers/parents to keep a digital file of a students recordings for assessment or any other purpose.
Examples of ways to use the MeCorder in the classroom or home environment:
*Speaking and Listening practice
*Self Assessment
*Grammar, speech, articulation practice
*Messages back and forth from parent to teacher
*Recording your poem of the week (this is our use)
*Messages/reminders from Mom and Dad
Here are some of the features on the MeCorder:
* Compact (2.25 x 2.25) video recorder to aid in educational learning activities
* 30-second recording, playback, USB and magnetic back
*Allows students to record and view themselves simultaneous
*LCD screen
*built in mic
One drawback to the MeRecorder is that you can only have one 30-second video recorded at a time. However, once the video is recorded, you can upload it and record another video.
Buy it: Can't wait to win it? You can purchase the MeRecorder at Learning Resources {HERE}. The MeRecorder retails for $59.99.

I would love this for my kindergarteners!
What an awesome new product. I teach kindergarten and it would be fun for the kids to hear themselves read ...or share their reading with their classmates. But...my first use would be to help my three year old granddaughter continue to improve her articulation. She was slow starting to talk and alhtough she has great language skills and understanding, her articulation is still being worked on with a therapist. She's come a long way and this would be a fun addition to her therapy.
I would love to use this in my word work center in my kindergarten class. I could give them activity instructions or make a game without being there.
